News: Woman, 20, seriously hurt in Mississauga pedestrian collision 

MISSISSUAGA, ON – A 20-year-old woman was left in serious condition as a result of a pedestrian collision that happened along Marie Curtis Park Wednesday night.

Toronto police said the 20-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while she was walking across the intersection of 42nd Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West. EMS crews were called to the scene and hurried the woman to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Officers confirmed the driver stayed at the scene. Police said they shut down the intersection before 8 p.m. and reopened all lanes after 8:30 p.m.

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation.
