YORK, ON – A woman was killed and a man was sent to the hospital after their Ford Mustang crashed into a pole in GreenHills Saturday.
The single-vehicle collision occurred around 2:00 a.m., CBC News reports. Preliminary details show that the man, 28, was driving on westbound Ellington Avenue and lost control of his Ford Mustang, which led him to crash into the pole near Bicknell Avenue.
The man’s passenger, a woman, died from her injuries at the scene.
EMS crews hurried the man to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police shut down the area and have reopened all lanes since.
A full investigation has been launched.
