One Dead, Four Injured After Car Crashes Through Front of Store

TORONTO, ON – A man was killed and four others were harmed after a vehicle plowed through the front of a building on Christmas Eve, Global News reports.

According to police, the accident occurred in the area of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West around 2:28 pm. The driver lost control of the vehicle in the parking lot and crashed through the front of the store.

One man was pinned between the vehicle and a wall. Crews attempted to extract him but he eventually died of his injuries.

Two other people were hospitalized after being struck by the vehicle. The driver and a passenger were also transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
