News: Woman seriously injured in pedestrian accident in Etobicoke

ETOBICOKE, ON – Police and emergency crews were dispatched to a pedestrian accident in Etobicoke on Thursday afternoon, CP24 reports.

The collision took place in the vicinity of Bloor Street West and Kipling Avenue, where a woman was hit by a vehicle at about 1:15 p.m.

Toronto paramedics arrived to find the victim, a woman in her 80s, seriously injured.  She was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene, according to police.

Westbound Bloor Street was closed at Kipling Avenue while the incident was being cleared and investigated.  Drivers were advised to consider alternate routes.
