TORONTO, ON — Authorities responded to a chain-reaction collision Wednesday night in Toronto’s York district that caused minor injuries to a pedestrian, reports CityNews 680.
The accident unfolded at around 5:34 p.m., when a driver struck a Toronto Police Service vehicle that was parked in the area of Vaughan Road and St. Clair Avenue West.
A pedestrian who was on a nearby sidewalk at the time sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash, but police did not indicate whether the victim had to be hospitalized.
While the driver remained on the scene following the incident, no information about potential charges has been reported.
Crews had a span of Vaughan Road shut down from St. Clair to Louis Avenue in the immediate aftermath.
